Banana bread is a soft and fragrant cake made with ripe bananas. Gentle, slightly sweet, and easy to make, it’s perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack, plain or topped with nuts or chocolate chips.

Ingrédients

  • 50 g White sugar

  • 50 g Brown sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 3 Ripe bananas

  • 210 g Flour

  • 6 g Baking powder

  • 1 pinch Salt

  • 130 g Butter

  • 150 g Chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, white sugar and brown sugar.
  • Whisk together, then add the ripe bananas cut into pieces.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix.
  • Melt the butter, then add it to your dough, mix, and add the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold of your choice (round, rectangular…).
  • Bake at 175°C for 30 minutes.

Astuces

    The riper the bananas, the sweeter the flavor. You can arrange whole bananas on top of your batter before baking. To check if it’s cooked, insert a knife into the center of the cake; it should come out clean. For an even moister result, spread a strip of butter on a loaf pan before baking.
